Abstract

There were synthesized six new pyrazoloquinoline derivatives (PAQ) described with a formula (I), in which the meanings of R4 substituent are as follows: -Br, -OC6H5, -CH3, -H, -OCH3, -Cl. The new compounds were characterized, among others, on the basis of 1H NMR spectra and elemental analyses results. Mixtures of these PAQ derivatives with poly(N-vinylcarbazole) were applied in the organic light-emitting diodes (LED). Spectra of absorption, photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) of LEDs prepared were presented. It has been found that the type of R4 substituent influences PL and EL quantum yields.
